There are a wide range of things to do around the area for all age groups such as : walks and riding, cycling on the marked cycle routes, visits to the local waterpark, go karting, Vertigoparc (an action playground set in the trees), quad biking, beaches, historic towns and museums, golf courses, and plenty more !

 

Nearby there is the whole Cognac region to explore, and the towns of Rochefort, Saintes, Niort, Royan and Bordeaux.

 

Other popular places to visit are : Futuroscope, the large aquarium in La Rochelle, Palmyre Zoo, boating on the canals in the Venise Verte,  Saintes , a roman town with an amphitheatre,  and Fouras with its beach and fortress.
