There are a wide range of things to do around the area for all age groups such as : walks and riding, cycling on the marked cycle routes, visits to the local waterpark, go karting, go to Vertigoparc  ( an action playground set in the trees),  quad, biking, beaches, historic towns and museums and plenty more !

 

Nearby there is the whole Cognac region to explore, and the town of Rochefort, Saintes, Niort, Bordeaux.

 

Other popular places to visit are : Futuroscope, the large aquarium in La Rochelle, Palmyre Zoo, boating on the canals in the Venise Verte,  Saintes , a roman town with an amphitheatre,  and Fouras with its beach and fortress.
